Church loft conversions have been the rage lately. To continue on our article on Hard Loft Buildings with Great Value, we decided to focus this week on church conversions! Churches already have some amazing architecture and when architects get their hands on one they blend new and old to make a masterpiece that you can call home.
Union Lofts in the Junction Triangle
Construction is already underway for this conversion. These lofts are situated in one of Toronto’s up and coming neighbourhood. Nestled right in the middle of freehold homes, this location is only a hop away to transit and schools. An adjoining condo building rightfully named the Vestry will be built right next door. We also love that this conversion is retrofitted with a lot of green standards to withstand the high energy costs of the future!
Clements Commons in Leslieville
This future site is right in the heart of Leslieville. The conversion is going to be a century old Anglican church. On the same site there will be a combination of townhomes and stacked townhomes. The renderings look amazing! Looking forward to see what this project has to offer. The sales for this complex is starting in May!
Sanctuary Lofts in Dovercourt Village
This loft conversion has only 14 units. This church was once a Presbyterian church that has been around for almost 100 years. The suites range from a 600sqft 1 bedroom to a monster 1765 sqft 3 bedroom. You are steps away from Dufferin Station and all other great conveniences. This development is sold out and is under construction. There will hopefully be some for sale when this conversion is completed!
