Some agents door-knock, some agents cold call, some agents spend all of their advertising dollars on admail and sit back and wait for their phone to ring. There is nothing wrong with any of this and if these prospecting methods work then no one can judge. A few years ago we made the conscious decision to not do any of the above and concentrate on getting new clients though referral business
Why? – A lot of people ask us why we decided to do this – Wouldn’t you be able get to get more business going door to door and increasing your odds of meeting new people? We simply decided that we really like the clients that we work with, we have had some amazing opportunities and worked with some really great people and if we can work with their friends and family that would be even better. Working by referral also allows us to spend more time with our clients and the activities that benefit them the most. We don’t have to spend hours each day prospecting for new business and instead dedicate that time providing our clients with exceptional service.
We are very open about working by referrals and tell every client when we first meet them that we want to make them so happy that they will refer the W & Y Homes Co. Team to their friends and family. It is our mandate to keep in touch with all of our clients even after they have settled into their new home and we will always be available to answer any questions or concerns they may have. Working by referral is all about trust, when buying or selling what is most likely the biggest investment of your life you want to work with someone you trust and someone that comes highly recommended. 90% of consumers worldwide said they likely trust the recommendations of the people they know above any form of advertising.
